The EIB, the European Union's bank, is seeking to recruit for its Legal Directorate (JU), Legal Department, Operational Policy, Mandates and Non-EU Operations (OPS-POL), Restructuring, Funds and Venture Debt Division (RFV), Venture Debt Unit (VD), at its headquarters in Luxembourg, an - Associate Venture Debt Lawyer*
This is a full-time position at grade 4 for which the EIB offers a permanent contract.

The Restructuring, Funds and Venture Debt Division (RFV), deals with the legal documentation and legal issues for Venture Debt, as well as debt restructuring and fund investments.
This position would be for the Venture Debt Unit. Venture Debt finances the growth stage of innovative companies across the EU. As an (Associate) Venture Debt Lawyer, you will assist the Head of Division and the Head of Unit together with other lawyers, in providing legal support to the operational Directorates and carrying out work relating to tasks within the Venture Debt Unit’s remit. This involves legal work both on loan agreements and equity upside arrangements such as warrants, profit participation schemes and royalty arrangements.
You will act under the authority of the Head of Division and the Head of Unit, in cooperation with the other lawyers of the Division and in accordance with the priorities established by the Head of Division and the Head of Unit (in coordination with the Head of Department)
The post may involve a certain amount of travel for negotiations and signatures of legal documentation and contracts.
