Why This Role Is Valuable 

The Legal & Compliance team as a whole deals with the corporate, legal, KYC and AML needs of the companies and the structures set up to manage our real estate investments. Your role is to support the Legal & Compliance team in certain of its functions described below.

Reporting to: Senior Associate Vice President, Legal & Compliance Team


Responsibilities

  • Managing the legal and corporate requirements of your own portfolio of real estate investments throughout Europe consisting of roughly 150 - 200 entities both from the entities’ corporate governance aspect, as well as the perspective of the documentation pertaining to the tax structuring of the investment;
  • Drafting, reviewing and coordinating the execution of legal and corporate documents (intragroup financing, distributions, Annual Accounts, corporate approvals, property documentation, etc.);
  • Cooperating with internal Departments, as well as external asset management, legal, tax and other advisors on domestic and cross-border corporate or real-estate transactions;
  • Ensuring companies’ transactions comply with corporate law and regulations;
  • Contributing to regular regulatory reporting under EU Law, such as DAC6 or depository reporting;
  • Actively participating in the numerous initiatives and trainings of the L&C team;
  • Using various tools or databases towards the digitisation of the documentation and data maintenance.

What You Bring To The Role

Qualifications

  • At least 1-3 years’ experience in a legal/corporate department of a fiduciary/law firm/in house legal or corporate position in Luxembourg;
  • Fluent English, any other language will be an advantage (especially German, French or Spanish);
  • Experience with open-ended or closed-end funds is an asset;
  • Excellent communication skills;
  • Total proficiency with MS Office standard applications;
  • Experience dealing with the Luxembourgish RCS and board meeting organization;
  • Knowledge of the corporate governance framework in Luxembourg;
  • Experience working with and maintaining strong professional links with lawyers, auditors, notaries, service providers;
  • Ability to work independently as well as be a team player;
  • Able to take direction and ask questions;
  • Strong organizational skills;
  • Attention to detail;
  • Resourcefulness and flexibility.
