Responsibilities

  • Assist with GDPR compliance processes, including Records of Processing Activities (ROPA), Data Subject Rights (DSR) requests, and Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs), while maintaining related documentation.
  • Support in drafting, reviewing, and maintaining data protection policies, internal procedures, and privacy notices in collaboration with key stakeholders.
  • Review and draft Data Processing Agreements (DPAs), Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs), and advise on other regulatory or contractual obligations related to personal data.
  • Support internal departments and group subsidiaries on operational and legal matters related to data protection and privacy.
  • Monitor legal and regulatory developments in data protection and recommend practical updates to ensure ongoing compliance.
  • Provide first-line legal guidance to business stakeholders on privacy-related matters and addressing queries related to data use, transfers, and contractual terms.
  • Assist in the management of privacy-related incidents and ensure proper reporting and documentation in line with internal policies and external regulations.
  • Collaborate with the Data Protection Officer to support internal audits, assessments, and implementation of privacy controls across the business.
  • Contribute to the development and improvement of internal frameworks, templates, and guidance materials to support privacy governance.
  • Participate in cross-functional legal initiatives and support the wider legal team on data protection aspects of broader commercial or operational projects.


Qualifications

  • A degree in EU Law from a recognized institution; a Master’s in IT, IP, or Data Protection is a strong advantage.
  • Certification in Data Protection (e.g. CIPP/E) is preferred.
  • 1–3 years of relevant experience in data protection, either in-house or at a law firm.
  • Solid understanding of GDPR and privacy laws with demonstrated experience in preparing and maintaining ROPAs, DPIAs, and DSR procedures.
  • Familiarity with IT/ICT terminology and systems; ability to navigate technical discussions with product and engineering teams.
  • Excellent drafting skills for data protection-related policies, agreements, and internal documentation.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain legal concepts to both legal and non-legal audiences.
  • Full professional proficiency in English, including legal terminology; knowledge of French is a plus.
  • A hands-on, pragmatic mindset focused on enabling compliant business solutions.
