The Manager - Legal & Corporate is primarily responsible for the management and administration of a portfolio of Private Equity and Real Estate clients. The role involves coordinating the work of the team, ensuring high standards of client service, and acting as the escalation point for more complex issues. This position requires strong leadership skills to supervise team members and guarantee compliance with statutory and contractual obligations.

Main responsibilities and duties

  • Manage a small portfolio of clients, ensuring all tasks are completed within agreed timelines and to the highest standard.
  • Act as a key point of contact for clients, providing professional and proactive service.
  • Oversee the preparation, review, and finalization of contractual and legal documentation.
  • Implement enhancements where necessary to improve the effectiveness of client care and administration.
  • Accurately prepare original legal documents and finalization of contractual documentation (such as contracts and agreements).
  • Coordinate the duties and activities of the team to ensure efficient workflow and resource allocation.
  • Serve as the escalation point for complex client issues and inquiries, resolving them promptly.
  • Ensure compliance with group and statutory requirements, including the preparation and filing of legal documents as per Luxembourg Law and CSSF regulations.
  • Maintain communication with notaries, lawyers, banks, regulatory authorities, and external auditors.
  • Attend and contribute to management meetings, preparing reports as needed.
  • Supervise and mentor junior team members, conducting appraisals and performance reviews.
  • Promote adherence to the Group’s policies, procedures, guidelines, and core values.
  • Ensure meticulous management and up-to-date records of client entities.
  • Comply with Risk & Associated Compliance procedures concerning regulatory requirements and AML legislation.
  • Undertake any other duties as deemed necessary by Management.
  • Adhere to JTC core values and expected behaviours.

Essential requirements

  • Professionally qualified (ICSA) or Law Degree.
  • Experience managing and mentoring people.
  • A strong team player who can motivate a team and lead by example.
  • Articulate with professional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and team management skills.
  • Demonstrate a clear understanding of the contractual and statutory obligations related to Luxembourg Law.
  • Attention to detail & problem-solving skills.
  • At least five years’ experience in a relevant client-facing role.
