Your Role...

Key responsibilities

  • Provide legal advice and support for all types of legal documents and contracts, in particular for research-related contracts
  • Ensure the development of legal documentation, preparation, and validation of all kind of agreements and legal documents, in accordance with the laws and regulations and in line with UL requirements
  • Contribute to decision making, add value to the organization and facilitate the achievement of SnT objectives as well as safeguard the legal position and reputation of the University of Luxembourg, ensure legal compliance

Liaising with and assisting the SnT, in relation with its legal needs

  • Drafting, negotiating, reviewing a broad range of legal documents (collaborative research contracts, collaboration agreement, license agreement, NDAs, service agreements, terms of use, etc.)
  • Advising on different fields of expertise of law (intellectual property, public research, state aids, export regulations and dual use technologies, etc.)
  • Evaluating potential risks, proposing solutions
  • Liaising with the University and other SnT services/departments on legal activities and research projects
  • Contributing to the development of the University and SnT

Your Profile...

  • Master’s degree in law with a focus on contract law; a specialization in intellectual property law would be a precious advantage
  • At least 5 years of experience in a similar position, with experience in contract drafting and negotiation
  • Demonstrates a high level of analytical and critical thinking skills to tackle complex challenges
  • Demonstrates efficiency in organizing tasks and managing priorities
  • Open minded, with ability to integrate in a fast changing and very international environment
