CMS Luxembourg has started 2018 with one newly appointed partner, two new counsels and several recruitments

Following the arrival of a new partner, Benoît Rose, in 2017 to head the investment management department, CMS Luxembourg keeps growing steadily with several internal promotions and recruitments. “These promotions and recruitments aim to strengthen CMS’ expertise and to develop new practices to answer the growing needs of our clients for high-quality legal advice in this increasingly complex market environment” said Julien Leclère, managing partner.

Our Tax department was the first beneficiary of this changes, with the nomination of William Jean-Baptiste as partner. He was already heading the department since his arrival in 2016 and his promotion confirms the will of CMS to become a major player in this area and to increase our collaboration with other CMS offices. William’s nomination was preceded by the arrival of two associates, Isabelle Absalon and Olwenn Goasdoué, with the aim to widen the team’s range of expertise.

Our Corporate M&A and Commercial department also continues its development with the promotion of Sylvain Elias to counsel. Sylvain joined CMS in 2015 and specialises in Corporate and M&A, Commercial and Intellectual Property law, Real Estate and Litigation. The team was also recently reinforced with the arrival of Mélody Brunot, an associate with over four years’ experience in the field.

Finally, CMS welcomed Jérôme Guillot as Counsel. He specialises in Administrative Law as well as Administrative Litigation cases including Tax Law Disputes and has an extensive experience in these areas. Jérôme will be in charge of developing this new practice and to support other departments on all matters with administrative aspects.
