The following report has been prepared by the CCBE and the European Lawyers Foundation. The report is an assessment by defence practitioners of the implementation of the following three directives:
- Directive 2010/64 on the right to interpretation and translation
- Directive 2012/13 on the right to information
- Directive 2013/48 on the right of access to a lawyer.
The project lasted from 15 April 2015 to 14 April 2016. The report itself is 80 pages long and the annexes (which contain the original responses to the questionnaires) are a further 270 pages.
The report contains an analysis of the Directives and identifies good practices and recommendations (see pages 6-9 for the recommendations).
