This position is part of the Competence Hub on Digital Governance in Crisis-Affected Regions, a five-year ULIDE initiative resulting from a convention with the Luxembourg Ministry of Foreign Affairs and supported by Luxembourg Development Cooperation / LuxDev. The Hub strengthens ethical, legal and operational governance capacities for digital transformation in humanitarian and crisis-affected contexts. It combines interdisciplinary research, capacity building and practical guidance, and works with international organisations, humanitarian actors and partner institutions in fragile or crisis-affected regions.
The successful candidate will contribute to academic research within this programme and help translate research findings into policy briefs, operational guidance, toolkits and training formats for humanitarian and development practitioners.
Alongside research activities, the postdoctoral researcher may contribute, under supervision, to selected teaching activities relevant to the project’s thematic scope. This may include limited involvement in Bachelor or Master level teaching and supervision of student work related to the research project.
The postdoctoral researcher will contribute to academic publications and the dissemination of research results in international scholarly venues. The position is embedded in a research programme led by professorial staff and carried out within an interdisciplinary research team.

The yearly gross salary for every Postdoctoral Researcher at the UL is EUR 85176 (full time).
