How you'll make an impact

  • Oversee and continuously develop the Compliance management and control framework for the Luxembourg entity and its branches, ensuring effective monitoring of regulatory requirements and internal policies.
  • Act as the key advisor to the Board of Directors, senior management, and committees on all Compliance-related matters, including regulatory developments, risk exposure, and control effectiveness.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain Compliance policies, procedures, and monitoring plans in line with Luxembourg and EU regulatory requirements, including Solvency II expectations.
  • Coordinate all interactions with supervisory authorities and ensure accurate and timely regulatory reporting, responses to requests, and follow-up on regulatory actions.
  • Identify, assess, and monitor Compliance risks, including the impact of new laws, regulatory changes, and business initiatives on the organisation.
  • Support the business as a strategic partner by providing analysis, constructive challenge, and guidance to ensure Compliance is embedded in decision-making and daily operations.

What it takes to succeed in this role

  • University degree in Law, Economics, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience meeting regulatory expectations for a Compliance Key Function Holder. 
  • Several years of professional experience in Compliance within insurance, reinsurance, or financial services, ideally in an international environment. 
  • Strong knowledge of Luxembourg and European regulatory frameworks, including experience working with supervisory authorities. 
  • Proven leadership and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence senior management and work across geographically distributed teams. 
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills, with the ability to provide clear guidance and constructive challenge on regulatory and risk topics. 
  • Fluent in English and French; German is considered an advantage.
