The Department of Law of the Faculty of Law, Economics, and Finance of the University of Luxembourg is looking for a Research and Development specialist to conduct research in Luxembourg business law.

Your Role...

The Research and Development Specialist will be working under the supervision of Professor André Prüm. The R&D Specialist will be in charge of:

  • Conducting research on different topics in Luxembourg business law, including in particular, company law, banking and financial law, insolvency law, and contract law;
  • Providing assistance for the preparation of scientific publications;
  • Providing assistance for the preparation of conferences, workshops, seminars, and lectures
  • Providing a scientific watch on selected topics by maintaining a database of case law and doctrinal references;
  • Preparing further research proposals within the Department of Law.

Qualifications...

We are looking for a candidate with a Master degree in law, preferably with a specialization in commercial law.

Holding the Certificat of the Cours complémentaires en droit luxembourgeois and a work experience in a Luxembourg law firm will be considered as an advantage.   

In particular, the following requirements apply:

  • Solid knowledge and expertise in Luxembourg business law;
  • Strong interest in European law;
  • Perfect command of French;
  • Fluency in English. A good understanding of German will be considered an advantage;
  • Excellent writing skills;
  • Proven ability to work autonomously;
  • Team spirit;
  • Curiosity and self-motivation.
