In a time where growingly complex topics, in the shape of internationalized and multi-stakeholder oriented legal cases, have become the norm, managing files in the form of a project has become a competitive selling point.


This training will empower participants to carry out as well as manage their own legal projects.

After the course they will be able to:

  • Define the scope of Legal Project Management (LPM)
  • Identify project constraints
  • Be aware of risk management in the framework of legal projects
  • Identify priorities and allocate adequate resources accordingly
  • Split legal projects into tasks
  • Learn how to close projects

Training program

Courses will take place on May 14th and 15th 2020 from 9 am to 5 pm.

The training programme follows the 4 phases principle of LPM:

Understand what a project charter/an engagement letter is

Phase 2: Planning

Use the iron triangle
Learn how to carry out a work breakdown structure
Master time estimations
Manage dependencies
Carry out a communication plan

Phase 3: Execution

Manage risk
Use kanban-boards
Set up effective project meetings
Monitor projects
Control costs
Implement change management techniques

Phase 4 : Closure

Learn what makes a successful delivery
Evaluate client satisfaction
Dos and don’ts and common pitfalls in legal projects
Best-practice behaviors for legal project managers
Supporting technology for LPM
