Ogier Luxembourg welcomes Marc Lenaers and Fiona Keating.
Marc Lenaers is a Senior Associate within our Luxembourg investment funds department. He graduated from the Catholic University of Louvain (Belgium) where he obtained a Master in Law with high distinction (magna cum laude).
Prior to joining Ogier, Marc was Head of Legal Fund Engineering at BNP Paribas Securities Services. Previously, he was Senior Associate in a Luxembourg law firm, where he was advising international clients on regulated investment funds and asset management and was in charge of the investment management practice of the New York office. Prior to this, Marc was Senior Legal Counsel in the legal department of a licensed PFS where he was managing a portfolio of international clients and regulated funds.
Marc specializes in investment funds and corporate law. He advises international clients on regulated investment vehicles, including hedge funds, mutual funds and private equity (UCITS, UCIs and SIFs), investment management companies and AIFM related questions. He is in charge of setting-up new investment funds, including the corporate, regulatory, contractual and organizational aspects, restructuring existing investment funds and liaising with the Luxembourg financial regulator for these purposes.
Marc also advises international clients on general corporate matters and assists them with their corporate transactions. He also actively contributes to articles and publications related to investment funds and special limited partnerships.Marc is fluent in English and French and has an intermediate level in Dutch.
Fiona Keating is an associate in the Ogier banking and finance team, involved in a range of syndicated lending, acquisition finance and security transactions.
Prior to joining Ogier, Fiona qualified at the Bar of Ireland in 2006, practicing in Dublin from 2008 to 2010, where she gained wide-ranging experience in Irish civil law litigation matters. In 2011, she joined one of the big four audit firms in Luxembourg, advising well-known fund promoters and asset managers on matters of Luxembourg investment fund law, cross-border fund distribution and related regulatory issues.
