Stibbe appoints Claire-Marie Darnand as partner in its Luxembourg office

Luxembourg, 27 June 2014 – Claire-Marie Darnand has been promoted to partner at Stibbe in Luxembourg. She has been a corporate senior associate with the firm for the last four years.

Claire-Marie is primarily engaged in business transactions and corporate law. She specialises in corporate and finance law relating to private equity, holding and financing activities, joint ventures, and mergers & acquisitions. The majority of her work is for multinational companies, private equity and venture capital funds and their portfolio companies, acting as acquirers, sellers or target companies in reorganisations, takeovers, or in the context of restructurings. Recent projects include Danone’s acquisition of Fan Milk International, KKR’s acquisition of Capsugel, Pfleiderer’s large-scale restructuring in Germany, and numerous matters for Oaktree Capital Management.

In addition to her business law and common law master’s degree, she was trained in corporate tax law (DESS) and in international commercial and business law in France and the United Kingdom respectively. Claire-Marie started her career at Allen & Overy, and then she moved to Loyens & Loeff for four years, before joining Stibbe in 2010.
