Loïc Bacquelaine — Our new Partner Loïc Bacquelaine's principal field of activity is the provision of advice to regulated entities, including management companies, AIFMs and other professionals of the financial sector. He assists clients with the review and enhancement of compliance programmes, supports them during inspections by public authorities, advises them in cases of litigation and investor claims, and deals with the regulators' observations and injunctions. He has been a member of the Luxembourg Bar since 2017. He is also a member of the Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile and the Royal Automobile Club of Belgium, where he serves as a Steward for motorsport competitions.
As Counsel
Eva Brauckmann specialises in collective asset management and investment funds. Eva advises a number of investment fund promoters, their investment vehicles and their investment managers on the set-up, structuring and administration of their Luxembourg investment fund operations as well as on regulatory matters. She is part of the Firm's sustainable finance task force. Eva has been a member of the Luxembourg Bar and the Koblenz Bar (Germany) since 2006.
Christophe Bricage specialises in the structuring and establishment of alternative investment funds across private equity, real estate, infrastructure, private debt and fund-of-funds strategies. His practice focuses primarily on unregulated Luxembourg fund structures, including special limited partnerships (SCSp) and reserved alternative investment funds (RAIFs). Christophe advises the promoters and managers of investment funds and their related carry and co-investment arrangements on a wide range of corporate, regulatory and marketing matters. Christophe has been a member of the Luxembourg Bar since 2017.
Iren Butrakova's practice focuses on asset management regulatory affairs and Fintech. She advises management companies, AIFMs, transfer agents, fund administrators and depositary banks throughout their life cycle, from initial set-up and authorization to restructuring, acquisitions, and day-to-day operations. Iren drives the Firm's Fintech practice, advising clients on complex blockchain and fund tokenization projects, ICT and cloud computing, DORA implementation and AI. She is a member of several ALFI and EFAMA working groups and technical committees on digital finance. Iren has been a member of the Luxembourg Bar since 2018.
Mateusz Glowacki's practice focuses on Corporate M&A and Private Equity transactions, with a particular expertise in sponsor-driven investments and cross-border transactions. He advises international investment funds and institutional clients on acquisitions, restructurings, financings and other complex corporate matters. Mateusz has been a member of the Luxembourg Bar since 2016 and is a CFA charterholder and a member of the International Bar Association (IBA).
Inès Goeminne's principal field of activity is administrative law, with a particular focus on advisory services and administrative litigation. She specialises in urban planning law, environmental law and public procurement law. Her expertise is reflected in the attention she pays to ensuring that projects comply with urban planning law and environmental law, and is reinforced by her technical and environmental experience gained within a recognised accredited body in Luxembourg. Inès is proficient in the administrative procedures relating to urban development plans and environmental studies. Inès has been a member of the Luxembourg Bar since 2017.
Benoît Nerriec's practice focuses on financing transactions, securitisation, structured finance and financial law, with a particular focus on securitisation and fund financings. He advises a number of investment funds and financial institutions on all types of financing transactions involving alternative and securitisation structures (including leverage financings and capital call financings). He has been a member of the Luxembourg Bar and the Paris Bar since 2024, and a member of the New York Bar since 2020.
Aurélie Petersen's practice concentrates on real estate law, covering both transactions and litigation, and more generally all types of development projects. She regularly advises institutional clients, private owners and property developers on complex issues relating to leases or licences to occupy, property ownership structures (property right, emphyteutic right, surface rights, etc.), sales and acquisitions, commonhold and construction. She has gained solid experience in the field of affordable housing with a particular interest in innovative projects (mobility hubs, co-operative society, coliving, etc.). Aurélie has been a member of the Luxembourg Bar since 2011.
Karolina Szpinda focuses on financial services regulation, capital markets and sustainable finance. She advises clients on regulatory, governance and compliance matters, particularly on prudential regulation, market conduct and ESG matters. Karolina plays an active role in the Firm's knowledge and thought leadership initiatives, helping clients navigate regulatory developments and implement new frameworks. She also contributes to industry working groups dedicated to sustainable finance. She has been a member of the Luxembourg Bar since 2011.
Floris Van Rymenants' practice focuses on banking and financial services regulation. He advises credit institutions, MiFID firms and other professionals of the financial sector on a broad range of regulatory matters, including CRD/CRR, EMIR, MiFID, IFD/IFR, and MiCA. Floris specialises in particular in financial-sector M&A, covering acquisitions of qualifying holdings, asset transfers and group reorganisations. His work also includes licence applications, governance matters and issues relating to professional secrecy. He has been a member of the Luxembourg Bar since 2017.
Filipe Vilas Boas' practice focuses on commercial, civil and employment litigation. In addition to his litigation work, Filipe also advises on commercial, civil and employment law. He has been a member of the Luxembourg Bar since 2017 and is a member of the European Employment Lawyers Association. Filipe serves as Vice-President of the Escala Business Club Luxembourg–Portugal.
