Lawyer - Investment Funds

We are currently looking for a Lawyer (5-7 years’ experience) for our investment funds practice / Un Avocat spécialisé en fonds d’investissement (5 à 7 ans d’expérience) (hybrid working model) 

You will join our investment funds practice to work on various types of files providing legal advice to funds managers, depositary banks, central administrations, board of directors and any fund industry stakeholders. You will manage a team in close collaboration with the Head of Practice. 

Your duties will include: 

• Advising clients on product life cycle management: from initial structuring, to day-to-day maintenance of the fund documentation up until special events that may impact the funds, such as restructurings or liquidations, covering the entire range of liquidity, whether the funds are regulated or not 
• Working on regulatory queries impacting the asset management industry (related to the AIFMD, UCITS Directive, SFTR, Benchmark Regulation, PRIIPS...) 
• Structuring and implementation of carried interest vehicles 
• Being a key contact for the client review, drafting and/or negotiation of contractual relationships 
• Participating in the roll-out of investment funds business plan (conferences, articles, client events...)

• Have a university degree in Law 
• Have a minimum of 5 years’ experience within a law firm, ideally in Luxembourg. 
• Have a significant experience in investment funds investing in alternative assets and a good knowledge of the regulatory regime applicable to their service providers and to the funds themselves. A good knowledge of the regime applicable to UCITS would be a plus. 
• Have a high degree of fluency in English and a perfect command of French, the knowledge of German would be an asset 
• Have a solid organizational skill and the ability to adapt easily 
• Have a proven track record as an exemplar team manager
