Economist/Legal Expert for the “Regulatory projects and sustainable finance” division in the investment funds department (m/f)

Mission

The “International, regulation and enforcement” department, being part of the Métier OPC, is seeking to recruit an Economist/legal expert to join the “Regulatory projects and sustainable finance” division. You will contribute to the operational coordination of the implementation of regulations having a transversal impact for the Métier OPC

Role & responsibilities

  • The coordination of the operational implementation of cross-cutting regulations in the investment fund area, impacting the Métier OPC, including, when relevant, aspects related to sustainable finance. The team will not oversee AML/KYC aspects
  • Assisting to lead and serve as the central contact point for the OPC taskforces that will be implemented for this purpose
  • Help in fostering, in collaboration with the various working groups/different departments within the Métier OPC, a coherent and common approach to the implementation of the transversal regulatory projects
  • Liaising with other CSSF departments as needed for effective regular and communication on related matters
  • Representing the CSSF in national and international working groups on the relevant topics, as required
  • Ensuring, when needed, the coordination function in the field of sustainable finance, serving as the point of contact for internal and external queries in relation to sustainable finance for investment funds

Your profile

  • Four or five-year master’s degree in Law, Economics, Finance or Business Administration and Management
  • Minimum professional experience of 5 years in the field of investment funds and / or investment fund managers or similar experience in the financial sector
  • In-depth knowledge of the regulatory framework applicable to investment funds and investment fund managers
  • Proficiency in written and spoken French and English. Knowledge of German or Luxembourgish will be considered as an advantage
  • Excellent writing, analysis and synthesis skills
  • Strong sense of responsibility, organization and discretion
  • Stress tolerance, flexibility and priority management
  • Interest and willingness to exchange and share knowledge
  • Availability for occasional travel
