Corporate Functions includes the Group’s non-banking activities and employs more than 600 people. These functions are carried out by specialists with expertise across all business units, and include Communications, Compliance, Finance, Human Resources, Information Security, Internal Audit, Legal, Organisation & Digital, Risk and Tax departments.

The Senior Legal Adviser provides legal advice to Pictet Wealth Management and related functions in Luxembourg and the European branches, excluding Germany headquarters. This role supports business development, protects the Bank’s legal position and ensures effective legal risk management across private banking and other relevant activities.

Your role

  • Advise Pictet Wealth Management and related functions on legal matters affecting private banking activities in Luxembourg and the relevant European branches.
  • Monitor legal and regulatory developments, assess their impact on the Bank and coordinate implementation measures.
  • Provide clear, risk-based legal advice to Management, Bankers and internal stakeholders on client, product, contractual, regulatory and operational matters.
  • Support business initiatives and projects with legal analysis, practical recommendations and cross-functional coordination.
  • Draft, review and negotiate contracts, legal opinions, memoranda, client documentation and other legal instruments.
  • Identify, mitigate and escalate legal risks affecting the Bank and its Wealth Management business line in Luxembourg and its European branches.

Your profile

  • Master's degree in Law
  • Min 7 to 10 years experience in the field of banking and financial law within a bank or a law firm 
  • Fluent in french and english 
  • Sound judgment and pragmatic, risk-based decision-making.
  • Strong stakeholder management and business partnering skills.
  • Excellent drafting, negotiation and communication skills.
  • Collaborative, discreet and able to work across jurisdictions and functions.
