Loyens & Loeff Luxembourg strengthens its investment funds practice with new counsel

Loyens & Loeff Luxembourg has hired Tobias Niehl as counsel in its investment funds practice. Tobias, who is a lawyer qualified in Germany and admitted to the Luxembourg bar, has more than 15 years of experience in advising on Luxembourg fund matters.

His expertise covers in particular regulated investment funds - both UCITS and alternative investment funds (AIFs) - and their management, including the management of foreign UCITS and AIFs by Luxembourg entities.

Tobias advises Luxembourg, German and other international institutional clients, particularly in relation to legal aspects of structuring and marketing investment funds, their approval and setting up, as well as related regulatory questions.

Marc Meyers and Thibaut Partsch, partners in the Luxembourg investment funds practice, say: “The arrival of Tobias further strengthens our leading investment funds practice. His experience as a lawyer and as in-house counsel in the funds industry will contribute valuable expertise to our team and thus benefit our clients.
