Who you’ll be working with

A growing collegiate team of transactional lawyers in Harneys Luxembourg office with opportunities to work with and other colleagues across the Harneys global network. Our offering in this jurisdiction focusses on providing funds, corporate, commercial, tax, and regulatory advice to clients.

What you’ll be doing

Advising on a variety of corporate, regulatory and funds matters in respect of Luxembourg law.

RESPONSABILITIES

• Support the Luxembourg transactional team and working as part of this team in advising on setting up Luxembourg structures in line with the clients’ commercial requirements, implementing the advice (project management and drafting), updating the structures over the life of the matter and where required the exit, liquidation or migration of the structure (in  line with the advice of our tax department).
   
• Growing the client relationship by interacting with the client’s team and building a long-term relationship.
   
• Assisting with business development, through conferences, blogs and client face to face meetings.
   
• Build effective relationships within the Luxembourg transactional team and the Harneys network.
   
• Proven ability to work both autonomously and as part of a team – candidates should be able to demonstrate the ability to manage their own workload and cover for the team whenever necessary.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

• Qualified in Luxembourg or any other EU jurisdiction.
   
• Applicants should ideally have experience of investment funds (non-UCITS), corporate, commercial – i.e. liquidations, drafting partnership agreements, incorporations, managing a transaction closing.
   
• At least 2 years of post - qualified experience.
   
• A strong interest in understanding the commercial aspects of the clients’ requirements.
   
• An accountancy background will be a strong preference (at school or university).
   
• English level C1 with French or German (as native language).
