Senior Compliance Officer

Our client is the market leader in regulatory and administrative services for investment funds. They support fund assets throughout Europe, allowing clients ranging from start-ups to established investment firms to concentrate on what they do best. They reduce risk, connect investment managers with investors, and provide efficient operational processes. They are authorized and regulated by the Commission de Surveillance du Secteur Financier.

Currently, they are looking to recruit a Senior Compliance Officer (AC192) to join their Luxembourgish team in Luxembourg (+/-20 people). The compliance team consists of 2 people, and you will be reporting to the conducting officer. This opportunity is a one-year contract to cover maternity/ parental leave. This position is open for part-time or full-time. If you are looking to come back to the market after a small break and you have an experience in compliance this a great opportunity for you.

The primary purpose of the Compliance team is to anticipate, identify and assess the compliance risks of the Luxembourg entity as well as to assist the senior management in controlling these risks. These risks may include a variety of risks such as reputational risk, legal risk, litigation risk, risk of sanctions, as well as some operational risk aspects, in connection with all activities of Luxembourg entity.

One of the team’s core missions consists in implementing efficient measures in relation to the fight against money laundering and terrorist financing and ensuring that the company’s business relationships be conducted in compliance with the Luxembourg AML/CFT framework, the company and Group relating procedures and policies.

As a Senior Compliance, you will support the Team in providing support namely on the following tasks:

• Implementation of efficient AML/KYC measures on the Company and Funds’ counterparties
• Coordination of the AML/KYC process on the Company and Funds’ counterparties to assist the Company’s Responsable du Contrôle du Respect des obligations professionnelles (“RC”) in fulfilling one’s mission;
• Performance of initial/ongoing/periodical due diligence on the Company’s Delegates;
• Contribution to the Compliance Policies and Procedures update in line with the regulatory needs incl. the conflicts of interest register;
• Contribution to the internal reporting and the reporting due to the relevant authorities (CSSF, AED etc)
• Performing efficient regulatory watch;
• Contribution to staff training, in particular on Financial crime topics

• Master Degree in Law, Finance, or equivalent with a strong willingness to develop expertise in the financial sector ;
• Knowledge of name screening tools and European/Luxembourg AML/CFT legal/regulatory framework
• Knowledge of broader financial markets and investment products
• Willingness to learn and positive mind-set; Team-player with excellent communication skills
• Flexibility and ability to prioritise with good problem-solving skills
• Demonstrate excellent analytical and synthetic skills
• Fluent in English, French is required on an intermediate level;
• Excellent Word and Excel skills;
