CM Law is looking to add a talented experienced german speaking Fund Lawyer to its team. In this position, your typical day will see you working on a wide range of investment fund related client files, amongst which you will find international and local corporations, AIFMs and Depositary Banks, private equity and venture capital houses, real estate promoters, financial institutions, entrepreneurs... 


Under the supervision of the Partner in charge of the department, your main focus areas will be to:

  • Assisting and advising clients on transactions related in particular to regulated or non-regulated investment vehicles
  • Structuring and setting-up of SIFs, RAIFs, SICARs and UCITS as well as unregulated investment vehicles
  • Drafting of the legally required documentation and agreements (PPMs, LPAs, AoIs, Management Regulations etc.)
  • Dealing with legal issues relating to UCITS / AIFs / AIFMs / ManCos
  • Liaising and negotiating with the CSSF at all stages of the setting-up of a regulated investment fund
  • Incorporating investment vehicles and SPVs (Liaison with Public Notary etc.)
  • Dealing with cross-border fund distribution issues (EU-Passport etc.)
  • Investment management issues
  • Assuming the daily life cycle management of investment vehicles and other corporations (e.g. board meetings, corporate actions, launching of new sub-funds or share classes etc.)
  • Following-up on client requests and to take part in client meetings or conference calls
  • Being part of a team and work in close cooperation with the other team members

Searched profile

  • Is (native) German speaking and has excellent English and French working skills
  • Has at least 5 years' experience in the field of regulated and non-regulated investment vehicles, ideally in Luxembourg
  • Likes to take initiatives and is pro-active
  • Is open to challenges and learning opportunities
  • Is a good team player and, at the same time, capable to work autonomously
