Simmons & Simmons Luxembourg is delighted to announce the promotion of Cathrine Foldberg Møller to Partner as of 1 May 2021. Cathrine, who was part of the team setting up Simmons Luxembourg office in 2015, specialises in financial services regulation including banking and capital markets. She advises buy-side and sell-side market players on licensing requirements and their continuing obligations in connection with their provision of financial services. Cathrine is also involved in ESG matters and is the chairman of the Sustainable Finance working group of the Luxembourg Capital Markets Association.
Commenting in her promotion, Country Head Louis-Maël COGIS said: "Cathrine’s internal promotion to the partnership is an accomplishment of her hard work over the years. She can be proud of what she has achieved so far and, we are delighted to welcome her in the partnership."
At a firm level, Simmons has announced the promotion of 13 lawyers to its global partnership. This is one of the firm’s largest promotion rounds of the last decade. The new partners are from across eight offices, with 12 based in EMEA and the UK, and one in Asia. As new partners they will focus on supporting the firm's clients across its four global sectors and on delivering smarter solutions in these challenging times. Six of this year's partner promotions are women, which combined with figures from the previous two years, means that nearly half (47%) of partner promotions over the last three years have been women.
