Legal Counsel - Dutch-speaker - Banking - Luxembourg

Our client is a young European bank headquartered in Luxembourg. The core activity of the bank is to offer financing solutions to SME's so they could afford their growth projects. 

• You provide legal and regulatory advice in regards to the lending activity of the bank, with a main focus on the Dutch market
• You handle the on-boarding of new entities from a legal and compliance perspective
• You liaise with internal and external stakeholders to anticipate legal risks and protect the bank's interests
• You draft, review and negotiate diversified legal documents relating to the bank's core business
• You are the main point of contact for pre-litigation files
• You help the bank identify business opportunities and threats thanks to your legal watch

• Master degree in law,ideally with a major in Banking & Finance law
• At least 5 years' experience within a bank or a Banking practice of a Law firm
• Fluent in Dutch and English 
• Excellent drafting skills in both languages
• Sound knowledge of legal matters pertaining to the granting of loans and collateral documentation under Dutch law
• Entrepreneurial mindset and willing to be part of a start-up
