Greenfield is pleased to be working closely with Fintech company providing financial institutions of any size, anywhere in the world. In order to grow their team, they are currently seeking to recruit for a Senior Legal Counsel to who will report directly to Associate General Counsel to negotiate complex software and services agreements, support daily business and handle contentious matters.

He/ She will have existing knowledge of the EU General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) with a desire to further develop a focus on it and similar areas of regulation affecting financial institutions globally. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a talented workforce, in a fast-growing Fintech Company, alongside a well-established legal team.

  • Manage, negotiate and draft software as service (SaaS), software license and service agreements and related addenda, subcontractor, partner and other ancillary agreements with European counterparties. Specific focus area on compliance with the GDPR in relation to our client agreements.
  • Support sales/account management teams in their daily business, including in tender processes (RFI, RFP, vendor due diligence).
  • Due diligence exercises in the domain of acquisition activities as they arise regionally and related advice, management and supervision of transactions.
  • 8+ year of post-qualification experience in-house or in private practice.
  • Degree in Law and qualified to practice in common law or civil law, post graduate studies being an asset.
  • Experience working on revenue-generating software contracts and overseeing deals from inception to closing while managing risk and aiding the sales team in moving deals.
  • Strong, but tactful communicator who knows how to articulate boundaries with customers while simultaneously finding solutions.
  • Outstanding cross-functional collaboration, communication and relationship-building skills.
