Greenfield is pleased to be working closely with an investment manager providing a broad range of investments to a varied asset mix located across Europe. With operations in Luxembourg, the United Kingdom, Germany, Ireland and Spain, the Group structure includes asset management, portfolio management, finance, IT, legal and compliance teams. 

They are currently seeking a highly motivated Junior Lawyer – German speaker to assist and work closely with the General Counsel and in-house lawyers on the day-to-day legal function, focusing on transactional as well as asset management support work across the Group. The ideal person for this role will have experience working with a variety of assets across Europe. This role will ideally require prior experience with Private Equity and/or Real Estate transactions and fluency in German and English languages. Knowledge of French would be considered an asset. This role is an excellent opportunity to work on a small team with a large amount of exposure to the deal process from acquisition to divestment.
 

• Support the Legal Counsel in the Group’s legal and compliance projects

• Handle requests and recommendations of the Asset Management, Portfolio Management and Finance teams

• Prepare legal and corporate documents such as transactional and corporate governance documents

• Negotiating and preparing confidentiality agreements, term sheets, support and commitment letters, engagement letters and release letters

• Liaise on a regular basis with all external advisors e.g. local counsel, notaries, account banks and auditors

• Assisting the General Counsel in various strategic matters for the Company, as they may arise from time to time

• Minimum 3 years of experience (international transactions)

• Ability to work under pressure, independently and can deliver results to tight deadlines

• Master’s degree in Law

• Ideally admission to the German Bar

• Fluent in spoken and written German and English languages

• Impeccable ethical standards and the ability to forge trusted relationships at all levels

• Excellent influencing skills, communicating in an open and honest way, a team player with a “can do” attitude

• High integrity, prepared to take personal responsibility for own actions

• Commercially-orientated and strategically-minded, but hands-on in approach

• Ability to work under pressure and manage deadlines, solutions-orientated and focused upon delivering results
