Paralegal Officer

We are very happy to help our client with the search for a Paralegal Officer (AC187). Their Luxembourg management company is authorised by the Commission de Surveillance du Secteur Financier (CSSF) to act as a UCITS ManCo and Alternative Investment Fund Manager (AIFM). They support Luxembourg-domiciled UCITS and AIFs with their regulatory and operational requirements. They are part of one of the largest providers of Independent Authorised Fund Managers and third-party Management Company (ManCo) services in Europe. You will be joining their +/-20 people office and working in a team of 3 and you will be reporting to the Head of Legal and the Conducting Officer - Compliance. Their core business: 90% UCITS, 10% PE/RE (for the moment).

The Paralegal Officer will support the Legal team in providing support namely on the following tasks:

• Coordination of the delegated domiciliation and corporate services tasks to external service providers;
• Coordination and liaison with the external auditors of the funds;
• Administrative support to the Legal Department;
• In-house safekeeping and maintenance of the funds’ legal and regulatory documents and processing of emails or requests addressed to the funds;
• Handling of regulatory duties with the CSSF, the Luxembourg business registers, and other entities if applicable;
• General legal support to the Lux teams.

The Paralegal Officer will also support the Compliance team in providing support namely on the following tasks:

• Administrative support to the Compliance Department;
• Handling of the counterparties’ oversight requests on the Lux business unit;
• Support to the update of the counterparties files;
• Support to Lux team in the performance of its regulatory and monitoring duties

• Ideally a law degree (or equivalent);
• +/- 2 years in a similar role in Luxembourg with a fair good knowledge of Funds (mandatory);
• A strong willingness to develop expertise in the financial sector ;
• Excellent Word, PowerPoint, and Excel skills;
• Knowledge of MS Office, E,file and EDesk;
• Knowledge of broader financial markets and investment products
• Fluent in English; and French will be a plus;
• Willingness to learn and positive mindset;
• Team player with excellent communication skills
• Flexibility and ability to prioritise with good problem-solving skills
• Demonstrate excellent analytical and synthetic skills
