Luxembourg is the location of choice for many of the structures used in the international capital markets and our lawyers can advise on debt capital markets, derivatives, structured products and securitisations. We can also provide support to financial institutions based in, or looking to set up headquarters in, continental Europe.

We provide broad-based support for clients in these key sectors with capability to advise on matters across private funds formation, corporate structuring, UCITS and hedge funds, capital markets, banking, and tax matters. Our lawyers in Luxembourg work closely with the firm's international network, particularly alongside offices based in the UK and other European jurisdictions.

We are looking for a Mid-level Banking Lawyer - Permanent full time position

Your Role

  • Representing financial institutions, corporates and funds in financing transactions : secured or unsecured financing or refinancing, with a focus on funds finance, project finance and real estate.
  • Be involved in drafting, reviewing and negotiating varied types of contracts and legal documents in a broad range of transactional and advisory work;
  • Interact continuously to understand deals and projects, define and scope work, advise on resourcing options, structuring, negotiating and closing commercial finance transactions.
  • Take part in internal and external presentations and be involved in legal publications;
  • Lead, manage and mentor junior lawyers;
  • Conduct and coordinate legal research;
  • Participate in client meetings and build strong relationships with clients.

Searched profile

  • Graduate from university in Law;
  • Experience in a Banking and/or Finance department of a Luxembourg law firm;
  • Admission to the Luxembourg Bar or any other European Bar;
  • Fluent in English and French; German and Luxembourgish are an asset but not a pre-requisite;
  • Strong analytical and synthetic skills, ability to provide practical guidance on complex topics;
  • Excellent communication skills and an ability to produce commercially astute advice.
